Let's see, The Webmaster admits...

That he buys movies that he has been ultra-critical about and sometimes had him leaving the theater puking...

That despite less than glowing reviews, he gives many of them a second chance...

That seeing stars goof-off sometimes warms his heart...

And his shopping cart of crap demonstrates that he doesn't just give up on a film after its theatrical release, sometimes he only gives up after buying the DVD.

Well, it all goes to show how much Kozo LOVES Hong Kong film.

Cheer up Kozo, no need to cry. I have often been seduced into buying all kinds of Asian or Western entertainment when I should have known better. The sound of $$$ in my pockets saying "spend me" and the siren song of marketing hype and sparkly packaging saying "buy me" has separated this fool and his money often enough.

And I can't count the number of times that I have clung to the forlorn hope that "it'll get better with subsequent viewings" -- most bad movies never do.

Happily I usually manage to pass along my less than superb purchases onto someone else as either a sale or a gift. One man's crap is another's treasure; although I admit that there is some crap that I take great pride in owning.
