Are you asking where you can buy original copies of HK films? If so, YesAsia.com, among other places.

This isn't a question - I just wanted to share with everybody the fact that I took advantage of two yesasia deals in one order (the free dvd thing & the $5 off for ordering 3 CD's)!

Good to hear that you maxxed your order. Very satisfying to gloat over a great deal. Did you also get in on the $5 coupons or was that offer already expired?

It was expired sadly.....however I did order it using the associate link so a little bit will be going Kozo's way
I do have a question now though : was this - global.yesasia.com/en/Prd...004854142/ - ever released in HK and is it any good! |

Ah, Love in Macau. We've been waiting years for this.
To my knowledge, the film was never released in HK. As for whether or not it's any good, I'll check it one day soon and write a review. Given the hotness of Alex/Stephy, it's practically a must see. Given the quality of their previous output, I may have to go into therapy after completing the Marriage With A Fool/Love is Not All Around/Love in Macau trifecta. |

I rewatched MWAF for the first time since last summer - my daughter insisted on buying the VCD - the other night.....wished I hadn't!
Does as the listing states this version - global.yesasia.com/en/Prd...004057177/ - of "Cest La Vie Mon Cheri" have just a mandarin language track? There this version on Amazon - www.amazon.com/Cest-Vie-C...592&sr=1-2 - that doesn't appear in this form on the distributors website.....weird! **** Your question is more about "which one to buy?" and "where to buy it?" It's not specifically about YESASIA.COM Suggest you start a new topic about this title. |

Re: OFFICIAL YESASIA.COM QUESTION THREAD

About C'est La Vie, the Taiwan version indeed has only a Mandarin track.
And about the Tai Seng one, no idea what happened with that cover. I think they simply sell a repackaged version of the Universe disc -- which may be OOP now. |

Thanks WK!
The HK release IS out of print - if there was ever a film that deserve a great bells and whistles release this is it! "An Autumn's Tale" has just got one why not this? |

The DVD "Kung Fu Fighter" seems to only be available as the US version on YesAsia.
Does this differ in any way to the original version (ie edited for Americans), I wouldn't usually buy the US version (i'm in the UK) of a Chinese movie but I can't find any other. I've also posted this question in the main section as i'd also like the opinion of those who may own this version. --------- "Transported to a surreal landscape, a young girl kills the first woman she meets and then teams up with three complete strangers to kill again."

re: Kung Fu Fighter
It's likely the same as any the original HK version as it's being released by Tai-Seng. However, since the film hasn't even been released theatrically (much less on DVD) in Hong Kong, we can't be sure there are no differences. I'd bet money that there aren't. As for how/why Tai-Seng can release this film on DVD before its theatrical release in Hong Kong, I have no idea. |

3) Why doesn't YesAsia.com carry this product?
Rebel Intruders DVD Thanks! |

Re: OFFICIAL YESASIA.COM QUESTION THREAD

When searching for Rebel Intruders, if you click the "Include Out of Stock Items" box, you'll see that the DVD shows up as "Track it Down". You do have the option of entering your name and email address in that field, but our ability to get the title is uncertain.
Unfortunately, many Shaw Brothers titles are now disappearing from circulation, sometimes mere months after their release. Print runs are notoriously low now because people just aren't buying the Shaw Brothers titles. There are many titles I'm angling for, but can't find due to the same problem. Nowadays, I even settle for VCDs if I have to. Sorry I can't be of more help here. My advice would simply be to buy it right away if you find it. Otherwise, second hand is your only bet. |

Re: OFFICIAL YESASIA.COM QUESTION THREAD

It's a shame they aren't selling better. There's some really good movies here. Though I wonder what determines what goes out of circulation. Some titles I noticed have been out for years, but still readily available. But others they're gone really fast like you said. I guess it's old stock for the extremely unpopular movies?
Looks like I'll be grabbing all the Venoms titles released this month just in case they go out of print real fast. Thanks for the help. |

Making payments | ||
|
For making payments on the products from yesasia, how does the option 'check or money order' work? Is it paying in cash/check when the item is delivered? I'm from singapore by the way.. TKS.
|
|||
Webmaster Kozo |
Re: Making payments | ||
|
Check or Money Order is just that, check or money order. It requires someone to send in their payment to YesAsia. The order is held until payment is received and cleared, after which the products are released. Not the most efficient method, from what I understand, but then again there are some people who simply don't like using credit cards.
What you seem to be asking for is C.O.D. As far as I know, YesAsia.com only allows C.O.D. to Japan. |

Re: Making payments | ||

oh. but how do i send in the payment to yesasia?
|
|||
Webmaster Kozo |
Re: Making payments | ||

You can find the instructions when you check out, or visit YesAsia's help pages. There should be info there for the address, etc. I believe the instructions appear when you select check/money order as your method of payment.
Also, money order/check is only available in US dollars, and can only be handled via the Global Site. As you're from Singapore, you should qualify. |
