Hi I'm windaddy and I'm new to this forum and have just received a couple of HK DVD boxsets i imported from hong kong and one of them being the Police
Story Trilogy by Fortune Star and i was suprised by how the fights lacked intensity were slower than i remeber in PS 1 & 2 slower than the other version i
have seen the only version of PS1 i have seen was the new line vhs and as for the ps2 i have a dvdrip on my computer on hand which was ripped from a HKL dvd
but i changed the framerate before i encoded from 25 fps to 23.976 with avisynth and change rate of the audio with besweet and the fighting is still faster and
the only explanation i can come up with is most fight in hong kong movies are shot at 22 fps and than speed up to 24 fps but i think Fortune Star might have
made the mistake of taking the fights at 22 fps and adding duplicate frames so it would keep the orignal speed at 24 fps which wasn't how it was meant to
be seen or maybe i'm wrong and it was not tampered with and it just the remastering that some how took the intensity out of the fight scenes which would
kinda suck considering how good the Fortune Star remaster of police story 1 looks.
so if there is anyone who has the boxset and has seen or owns the older version of the film on dvd or any other medium can you give me your input the matter thanks in advance
