You don't need a license to dislike this place. :lol There's plenty to turn anyone off. Whatever positives there are to SF and there are some; the negatives more than tilt the balance to outweigh them.

The city is now 30% Asian, with the population of one major neighborhood outside of Chinatown already poised to exceed 50%. So as the Sinification process progresses then perhaps the city might become more resident and visitor friendly.

I hardly consider SF to be a cutting edge city and trend setting in cultural innovation. You're right in observing the gulf between its imagined importance as a cultural center and the reality of where it's at as an artistically friendly and creative environment. It's like an old crone daydreaming about her better days in the past.

This place is also ground zero for harebrained utopian liberal thinking where everything is viewed from politically correct perspectives.

Thankfully there are other things to think about than being preoccupied and depressed by the crappy side of living in the urban jungle. Please excuse my rant.

And SF remains an expensive and over-exposed location. :lol
