The San Francisco economy is tourism based and the city leaders thinks that the whole world really must love the place as much as their own marketing claims. :lol

This is a place that imagines it is a truly super international destination but it is a long ways from being a real metropolis like other world class cities. At best it is quaint and wierd. And there are plenty of tourist traps and homeless persons aggressively panhandling or sprawled on the streets.

To me the article is just a bunch of local crybabies who are moaning because there aren't more productions that they can be sucking $$$ out of. Well, too bad. There are a whole lot of other places more attractive and interesting than SF, and they are offering the film industry better deals. SF is business unfriendly.

And as a location, SF is already tired and overused. :careless
